Your life, meet their nature.
Three steps. Honest answers. A match that makes sense.
Take the quiz
14 honest questions about how you actually live. Not the life you post about, the one you come home to. How much space you have. How long you're out. How you spend a free Saturday. One question per screen, so it never feels like a form.
Two questions you answer in your own words — what a typical day looks like, and how you imagine life with a dog. That texture is what makes your match feel personal. If you'd rather skip them, you can.
Tell us there are children at home and the quiz adapts: it asks about their energy, your worries about a dog around them, and who will realistically do the daily care. Your match is written for the whole household.
Meet your match
Pawsonality knows 280 breeds: their energy, size, grooming, trainability, how they do with children and other pets, and the one thing owners wish they'd known. Your answers are read against that database by AI, so the match can weigh what you wrote in your own words, not just tick boxes.
You only see breeds you can realistically find where you live. Very rare breeds are still in the app to explore, clearly labelled as hard to find. If a breed is native to your country, we tell you. If it's legally restricted there, we tell you that first.
Your result is one hero match with a written explanation of why it fits and where it might not, compatibility across energy, independence, trainability, family fit and lifestyle, and two runners-up worth a look.
Ask to be talked out of it
Every breed in the app has a button most apps would never ship: "Talk me out of it". Tap it and you get the honest case against that breed, for you specifically, based on your answers. No fluff, no "but if you love them it'll work out".
It protects you, and it protects the dog. Mismatches are one of the reasons dogs end up in shelters. We would rather you hear the hard part now than in month three.
You can browse every breed, save favourites, see how you compare with any of them, and share your match. Your results stay on your phone.
The honest part
14 questions cannot capture a life. They cannot account for the way you laugh when you are nervous, or whether you will still want to walk at six in the morning in January. And the words in your match are written by AI, which can get things wrong.
So treat your match as a well-informed starting point. It narrows the field, surfaces breeds you might not have considered, and flags the ones that look right but would not work.
The rest is up to you. Meet the dog. Talk to breeders, rescues and your vet. Spend time together. A quiz can point you in a direction. Only real life can tell you if you have arrived.
